SBI PO Mains Exam Pattern
After qualifying SBI PO Prelims one can appear in the SBI PO Mains exam. It comprises of two levels:
- Objective Exam
- Descriptive Exam
Objective Exam will carry 200 marks and Descriptive Test will carry 50 marks. Both of these tests will be held online. Candidates have to answer Descriptive test by typing on Computer.The descriptive test will be carried out after completing the objective test.
Objective Test:
The objective test comprises of 4 sections with a maximum time limit of 3 hours duration. It carries a maximum score of 200. The objective test has sectional timings. In order to qualify this test cone should score cut-off marks as decided by the Bank examining the body.

Descriptive Test:
The descriptive test will be conducted for a maximum duration of 30 minutes carrying 50 marks. It is a written test of English Language where a candidate has to write Essay and Letters. Aspirants have to qualify Descriptive Test by scoring cut-off as decided by the bank authorities.
SBI PO Interview
The candidates who will qualify for both the tests i.e. Objective and Descriptive will be called for Interview. The merit list will be arranged in descending order of the total marks scored by them. This list will be prepared category-wise with consequent cut-off decided thereon.
The number of candidates in each category, as decided by the Bank will be called for Group Exercises and Interview. The cut - off or qualifying marks in Group Exercises and Interview will be as per the decision made by the Bank examining authorities.
Candidates under 'OBC' category require submitting OBC Certificate containing the 'Non-Creamy layer' clause. It has to be submitted at the time of Group Exercise and Interview. In case anyone is not able to submit the same, they will not be interviewed in General Category.
