PSSSB School Librarian Recruitment 2022

The latest notification for the recruitment of School Librarian vacancies has been released by the Punjab subordinates services selection Board (PSSSB) on its official website. The board is going to recruit candidates for 59 posts in PSSSB Jobs this year. All the eligible candidates can apply online for the Punjab School Librarian vacancies through sssb.punjab.gov.in. from 23 May 2022. The other basic information relevant to the vacancies is given below table.

Important Dates

• Starting date for submitting online application forms: 23 May 2022

• Last date for submitting online application forms: 19 July 2022( Till 5:00 PM)

Educational Qualification

• The candidates must have passed the 12the class or equivalent such as a diploma/degree from a recognized board/university/institution. 

• The candidate must have passed two years Diploma course in Library Science from a recognized university or institution.

Age limit

• The minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years. 

• The maximum age limit is 37 years. 

The age relaxation will be provided to the candidates belonging to other categories as per the Rules of the Government. For the OBC category, the age relaxation is 3 years. For the SC/ST category, the age relaxation is 5 years. Other categories such as EWS, ESM, and PwD will also get the age relaxation as per the rules. Salary Details

• For librarian postpay Rs 25500/-

Application Fee

• General Category: Rs. 1000/-

• SC/BC/EWS: Rs. 250/-

• ESM: Rs. 200/-

• PH: Rs. 500/-

The payment should be done through online mode.

The candidate shall deposit the application fee by logging into the online application portal after 11:00 AM on the third day after submitting the application form. The last date for submission of fee is 22nd July 2022.  

Important Instructions

• Not following the proper guidelines for the payment of fees can make the application form get rejected.

• Don’t fill in the improper or wrong details in the form.

• Follow the proper and valid procedure to fill out the application form.

• Check the eligibility criteria carefully.

• The candidates Securing less than 40% marks in the written examination will not be allowed to proceed further.  

Selection Process

The selection process for the PSSSB School Librarian Recruitment 2022 has three stages:

• Written exam

• Document verification

• Medical exam

Exam Pattern

• The exam will be conducted in offline mode and will include objective-type questions. 

• One mark is given for every correct answer. 

• The negative marking is ¼ for every wrong answer. 

• The question paper will be bilingual.

• Every category of the candidate must obtain at least 40% marks in the exam. 

How To Apply

The interested candidates are requested to apply online from the official website i.e. sssb.punjab.gov.in. from 23 May 2022. The proper procedure to fill out the application form is:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the PSSSB School Librarian official website.

Step 2: Search for the PSSSB School Librarian recruitment official notification

Step 3: Check the eligibility criteria from the latest official notification

Step 4: Click on the official application form link

Step 5: Fill the correct details in the online application form

Step 6: Upload the required documents 

Step 7: Make payment through the online mode

Step 8: Print the application form

After receiving the online application number, the candidate must upload a scanned copy of a passport size photo(not older than 3 months), signature, 10th standard certificate, and qualifying exam certificate to complete the application form. Note that the supported file formats are .jpg, .png and .gif, and the size of the files should be upto 100kb only. All the applications without uploaded photo and signature will be considered rejected. It is also to be noted that the Name, Father’s Name, Date of birth, and category can not be changed once entered in the online application form.
