This time the SBI is hiring candidates for 8283 posts of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in clerical cadre. Of course! As always, the commission has released the official notification for the SBI recruitment of junior associates (customer support & sales) 2023 to help you know all the important instructions to prepare and appear accurately for the exam.

SBI Clerk Vacancy 2023
SBI has released the notification to recruit potential candidates for 8773 vacancies, out of which 8283 vacancies have been announced for regular posts and 490 for Backlog posts. Take a deep insight into the Circle wise and state/UT-wise vacancy details for the SBI Clerk 2023 exam.

Eligibility Criteria
-
Candidates can apply for the exam only in one state/UT.
-
Candidates have to provide proof of local language proficiency by taking a test or producing 10th or +2 mark sheets to demonstrate that they have studied the language.
-
Candidates have to opt for one language at the time of application.
-
Candidates must not be born earlier than 02.04.1995 and not later than 01.04.2003 (both days inclusive) to meet the age ability which states that candidates between the age of 20 and 28 years are eligible to apply for the job.

Educational Eligibility
-
The candidates who have completed their graduation or are about to complete their graduation on or before 31.12.2023 from a university or any equivalent qualification that the central government recognizes can apply for the exams.
-
Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificates should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31.12.2023.
-
4% horizontal reservation has been provided to Persons with Benchmark Disabilities as per section 34 of “The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act (RPWD), 2016”.
Important Note
Candidates are humbly requested to take a deep insight into the eligibility criteria mentioned in the notification as the board has clearly stated that candidates can only apply in one state/UT and make sure that they are proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the local language of the state/UT they are applying from. After the main exam, they have to take a local language proficiency test before their final recruitment to the bank. If they fail the local language proficiency test then, they will not be offered the appointment. Also, candidates who produce the 10th or +2 mark sheets to demonstrate their language proficiency don’t need to undergo the language proficiency test.
Also, note that there is no provision for Inter Circle Transfer / Inter State Transfer for Junior Associates to be recruited.
How to Apply

Make sure to adhere to the following guidelines when filling up the application form:
Step 1: When you click on the link, you will jump to a page that will contain a list of a few notifications.
Step 2: Look for the Recruitment of Junior Associates 2023 and click on the red colored text i.e. Apply Online from 17.11.2023 to 07.12.2023.
Step 3: A new window will appear on the screen that will ask you to click here for new registration. Click on it if you are registering for the first time.
Important Notes:

Candidates should scan their photograph, signature, left-hand thumb impression, hand-written declaration, and SBI Apprenticeship Certificate (if applicable) as detailed under guidelines for scanning the photograph and signature (Annexure II).(Uploading an unclear photograph, signature, left-hand thumb impression, or hand-written declaration can lead to rejection.)

You have to upload a hand-written declaration as well.

Once the data is saved, you will receive a registration number and password that you can use to log in to the account again. Along with that, you have to make payment by using debit card/ credit card/ Internet Banking by providing information as asked on the screen.

On successful completion of the form, an e-receipt and application form with fee details will be generated, which may be printed for record.
Selection Procedure
The selection procedure will contain a preliminary and main exam. Along with that, the test of specified opted local language will also be conducted.

Wait List: A wait list of up to 50% of vacancies (State-category wise) will be maintained where candidates will be released from this waitlist on a quarterly basis against non-joining and resignation out of the current batch only, subject to the candidates securing minimum qualifying marks as may be stipulated by the Bank for selection. This waitlist will be valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration of final result.

The selection of the exam centre must be done carefully as the board doesn’t allow the candidates to make any changes in the centres.

However, the board, at its own discretion, can make changes to the center but the request by the applicants to change the centres will not be entertained. Hence, stay updated on such matters by regularly visiting the official websites.

The call letters for the exams can be downloaded by entering your login details from 27.12.2023 onwards. The call letters for the mains can be downloaded from 15.02.2024 onwards.
Probation Period:
The selected candidates have to serve a probation term of six months and if they fail to meet the expectation of the bank then, their probation period will be extended.

Bear in mind that ¼ negative marks will be deducted from the scores in case of wrong attempted questions. Also, each section will have separate timing. An overall cut-off score will be maintained. Yes, there is no sectional cut-off score.

Each test has a separate timing and ¼ negative marks will be deducted for each wrong attempted answer.

Important Instructions:

You have to handle the call letter of both tests carefully as you will need them further. Call letter of the Preliminary Exam will not be collected at the examination venue. Candidates will need to retain the call letter safely with themselves. Those candidates who are called for the Main Exam will be required to bring this call letter along with the Main Exam call letter and other requisite documents as per information provided in the “acquaint yourself booklet” and call letter.

Request for change/ correction in any particulars (including category) in the application form, once submitted, will not be entertained under any circumstances. No correspondence/phone/email will be entertained in this regard. Candidates are advised to fill up the online application carefully and furnish the correct information in the application.

Candidates are advised in their own interest to apply online well before the closing date and not to wait till the last date to avoid the possibility of disconnection/inability/failure to log on to the website on account of heavy load on the internet or website jam.
