Can we apply SBI Clerk for another state as there is no vacancy in Bihar?
Yes, you can easily apply for SBI Clerk from other states. However, the condition is that you are required to clear the language proficiency test (LPT) of that particular state. In case you are applying from Punjab then you should be well versed with the speaking and writing structure of the Punjabi Language. As there is no vacancy in Bihar then you can easily apply from another state after clearing the language proficiency test after mains. Every year the State Bank of India conducts the SBI Clerk exam to fill the vacant posts of Junior Associates (Customer Support and Sales).
Before joining, all aspiring candidates are required to attempt the local language test. It is to be notified that the SBI Clerk notification 2021 has been released officially on 26th April 2021. If you are from Bihar and aim to appear for the SBI clerk exam then you don’t need to worry. You can easily give the exam by filling the form from other states. But the condition is that you need to have a good command on the local language of that particular state.
For example: If you are from Bihar and passed your 10th and 12th from the Hindi language then you are eligible to fill the form from the states such as Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Andaman & Nicobar Island, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. However, applying from states like Punjab, Kerala, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, etc you are required to clear the language proficiency test of that specific state.
Those aspirants who have already studied the local language of the particular state in the VIII or any stage above this particular level in a government-recognized education board and have proper certification and proof would always be considered proficient in that specific local language.
