5. Then open up the On-Line Application Form
6. Click on the new registration link to register for the current exam and fill in your basic information.
7. After filling in the basic information you will get a provisional registration number and password which will be displayed on the screen.
8. Note down the registration number and password. Although you will get an alert on email and mobile through SMS for the Provisional Registration number and Password yet you are required to note down separately.
9. In case you want to edit any particulars you can reopen the saved data using the registration number and password.

Candidates must prepare in a systematic manner for the SBI Clerk exam. The candidates should be aware of the latest syllabus and exam pattern. For the post of Officers Scale I, candidates who will qualify in Preliminary Examination and shortlisted will have to appear for Main Examination and shortlisted candidates in the Main Examination will subsequently be called for a Common Interview to be coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Banks with the help of NABARD and IBPS in consultation with appropriate authority.

For the post of Officers Scale II (Generalist and Specialists) and Scale III, candidates will appear for Single Online Examination and shortlisted candidates in the Single Online Examination will subsequently be called for a Common Interview to be coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Banks with the help of NABARD and IBPS in consultation with appropriate authority.

For the post of Office Assistant (Multi-purpose), candidates who will qualify in Preliminary Examination and shortlisted will have to appear for Main Examination. They will be provisionally allotted on the basis of the marks obtained by them in the Main Examination and the vacancies reported by the RRBs.
On completion of the interview process / main examination, depending on the vacancies to be filled in as per the business needs of the RRBs and as reported to IBPS, candidates shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to one of the RRBs, based on merit-cum-preference keeping in view the spirit of Govt. For Office Assistant (Multipurpose), the final allotment will be done on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the Online Main Examination and the vacancies reported by the RRBs.
IBPS RRB Pre Exam Training
The Pre Exam Training is organized by IBPS for the candidate who belongs to SC/ST and Minority Communities. The main endeavour of the Pre Exam Training is to offer high-quality training services to enhance the ability and to improve the capability of privileged aspirants.
The training is imparted free of cost but there is no provision of giving any other expenses to the candidates such as travelling, accommodation, food, etc. These are borne by the aspirants themselves.
Pre Exam Training is a specifically crafted program by IBPS for those who cannot afford to join any private coaching due to the financial crunch.
During the training, aspirants are updated with the exam pattern, preparation tips, syllabus and expected questions related to the IBPS Bank Exam.
Pre-Exam Training is conducted five days before the date of the Preliminary Exam. Those who wish to undertake Pre Exam Training should select the pertinent choice at the time of Online Registration.
The administrative body reserves the right to withdraw the training program anytime at any of the centres as per the requirement and responses received for the training. It can add alternative arrangements to make the training smooth and easy for the aspirants.

Q1. What are the posts available under this recruitment?
Ans1. The exam is conducted for the recruitment of Group ‘A’ Officers Scale – 1, 2, and 3 and Group ‘B’ Office Assistants (multipurpose). The Group ‘A’ posts are considered similar to Probationary Officers and Group ‘B’ posts are considered similar to Clerk jobs in PSUs.

Ans2. The result will be declared by IBPS RRB after the successful conduct of the examination. The result for IBPS RRB is of key importance as it will be the gateway to appear for the next stage of the exam.
Q3. How many vacancies in IBPS RRB 2021?
Ans3. The number of vacancies released by the IBPS for IBPS RRB 2021 is 11687.
Q4. What is the mode of examination?
Ans4. The exams will be conducted in online mode only.
Q5. Can a candidate apply for both the posts – Officers and Office Assistants?
Ans5. Yes, one can apply for the Post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and can also apply for the Post of Officer.
However, aspirants can apply for only one post in the officer’s cadre i.e. In case a candidate is applying for Officer Scale-I, then he cannot apply for officer scale-II or officer scale-III. Aspirants need to apply separately for the same and the fee to be paid separately too.
Q6. What is the maximum age required to apply for IBPS RRB Exam?
Ans6. The maximum age criteria as decided by the IBPS is given below according to the scales:
For Officer Scale-III – Above 21 years – Below 40 years
For Officer Scale-II – Above 21 years – Below 32 years
For Officer Scale-I – Above 18 years – Below 30 years
For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) – Between 18 years and 28 years
( Age relaxation will be applicable as set by the IBPS notification)
Q7. What is the maximum educational qualification required for various posts in this recruitment process?
Ans7. Office Assistant (Multipurpose): A graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent.
Officer Scale-I: A graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent
Officer Scale-II: A graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
Officer Scale-III: A graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
Q8. What is the application Fee for IBPS RRB 2021?
Ans8. The Application fee is Rs. 175/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates whereas it is Rs 850/- for all other candidates. It is important to note that a person applying for both posts has to pay separately for each post.
Q9. Is knowledge of the local language mandatory for candidates apply from a particular state?
Ans9. Yes, the knowledge of the local language of the State or Union Territory (he/she wishes to apply) is mandatory for the candidates who are applying for the posts of Officer Scale I and Office Assistants – (Multipurpose). Candidates who have studied the local language in 8th grade or above 8th grade from a Government approved board would be considered proficient in that language. However, those who do not meet this requirement will be given a time of six months from the date of joining the RRB to acquire proficiency.
Q10. When will the registration start?
Ans10. IBPS RRB starts the registration in the month of June 2021.
Q11. Is the IBPS RRB exam bilingual?
Ans11. The exam is conducted in different regional languages except for the English and Hindi language section.
Q12. Is there a sectional cut-off?
Ans12. Yes, each candidate is required to obtain a minimum score in each section of the Main examinations of IBPS RRB Office Scale-1 and Office Assistant and in single exams of Officer.
Q13. Is there a penalty for wrong answers?
Ans13. Yes, for each wrong answer one-fourth of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted. However, there will be no deduction if the question is left unanswered.
Q14. Will there be an interview after the written exam?
Ans14. There will be an interview for the posts of Officer Scale – 1, 2, and 3. However, there is no interview for the Post Office Assistant. Candidates applying for the Office Assistant post will be provisionally allotted on basis of marks obtained in the main exam and the vacancies.
Q15. I am in my final year of graduation, can I apply for IBPS RRB 2021?
Ans15. Final year candidates are not eligible to apply for IBPS RRB 2021. Students can apply after clearing their graduation degree.
Q16. What percentage is required in graduation for the IBPS RRB exam 2021?
Ans16. Percentage in graduation is not considered in the eligibility criteria for IBPS RRB Assistant and officer scale -1 exams. A candidate is required to score at least 50% marks in graduation to apply for scale -2 and scale -3 exam. .
Q17. If I am from a particular state, can I select a different state to apply to?
Ans17. Yes, you can. If you’re applying for the posts of Officer Scale-1 and Office Assistant, the names of RRBs for giving the order of preference will be available based on the state which you select to apply for. You will however have to select the center of the exam in that state only.
Q18. Can I make changes in the application form after submission?
Ans18. No, Particulars mentioned in the online application will be considered final and no change/modifications will be allowed after submission of the online application form. Hence the application needs to be filled with utmost care.
Q19. On which date the IBPS RRB exam is scheduled?
Ans19. IBPS RRB 2021 Online pre-examination held in the month of August 2021 & the mains exam held in September/October 2021.
Q20. Is 60% necessary in graduation to become an IBPS RRB 2021?
Ans20. No, 60% in graduation is not necessary to appear for IBPS RRB exams. Percentage in graduation is not considered in the eligibility criteria for IBPS RRB Assistant and officer scale-1 exams. If a candidate aims to apply for scale-2 and scale-3 exam then minimum 50% marks are required in graduation degree.
