The eligibility criteria of the SBI Clerk 2023 exam is mainly about two pre-requisites:
1. Educational Qualification
Graduation Degree: The eligibility criteria for the SBI exam is a graduation degree in any of the streams such as BA, B.Com, BSc, B.Tech, etc., from a University recognized by the Government of India. A candidate who possesses the same qualification from the university recognized by the Central Government is also eligible to apply for this exam. Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificates should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 01.01.2023. Those who are in the final year/semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if provisionally selected, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 01.01.2023.
Candidates should have a valid Mark-sheet / Degree:
A certificate that supports that they are graduates on the day they were registered for the exam. The percentage of marks obtained in Graduation should be mentioned at the time of registration for the SBI Bank-Clerk examination.
Computer Literacy: Knowledge of computer operations is a must as the SBI Clerk exam is conducted online.
Language Proficiency: Candidates should have verbal and written proficiency in the official language of the State/UT. The candidate should be able to read, write and speak the language.
2. Nationality / Citizenship of Applicants:
Candidates applying for SBI Clerk Examination should be one of the following:

Citizen of India
-
The subject of Nepal or Bhutan
-
Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement
-
Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India
-
Candidates belonging to categories 2, 3, 4 must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Govt of India in their favor.
3. Age Eligibility (01.04.2023)
Not below 20 years and not above 28 years as of 01.01.2023, i.e candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1992 and not later than 01.01.2000 (both days inclusive). Besides this, there is age relaxation relevant to category-wise candidates as per the government rules:

The selection process of the SBI Clerk consists of 2 phases (preliminary and mains). The candidates must qualify each of them to go on to the next phase.
The important steps of the SBI Clerk Recruitment Procedure are as follows:

Online Preliminary Examination: The sufficient number of candidates in each category is shortlisted by SBI depending upon the requirements for Online Mains Examination.

The SBI Clerk Mains is also held online, the latest update by SBI it has 4 sections there is 190 Question having a total score of 200 marks of 160 minutes duration.
The candidates must attempt the sections in the same order and within the allotted time fixed by the examining body. The candidate can’t leave the existing section before the time allotted. The next section can only be attempted after the current section is completed. There is a negative marking with a deduction of 0.25 marks for every mistake.

Penalty for Wrong Answers:
A penalty for every incorrect answer will be marked in the Objective Tests of both Preliminary and Mains exams. Every wrong answer will be penalized by deducting 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question. There will be no penalty for leaving a question blank, i.e. in case, no answer is marked by the candidate.
Final Score Calculation for SBI Clerk 2023 Exam:
There are certain important points on the basis of which the final score for the SBI Clerk exam is calculated:

Marks scored in the Preliminary Exam will not be considered in the final score. These are only taken into account to qualify Mains Exam.

Candidates need to qualify for Phase-2
-
The aggregate of 100 marks is used for the final merit list for each category. Candidates with a high merit rank in each category are finally selected.
Language Proficiency Test (LPT) - Those who qualify for selection and produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be subjected to any Language test. In the case of others (qualified for selection), specified opted local language test will be conducted after provisional selection but before joining. Candidates not found proficient in specified opted local language would be disqualified.

State Bank of India issued an official notification on 17th November 2023 for SBI Clerk 2023 Examination. The notification had been released at the official website of SBI i.e.http://sbi.co.in.
Ques 1) Does SBI take LPT (Language Proficiency Test) for SBI Clerk Exam?
Ans. Yes, SBI takes LPT for SBI Clerk Exam. Candidates should be proficient in the language from which they are applying.
Ques 2) What qualification is needed for the SBI Clerk job?
Ans. A candidate appearing for the SBI Clerk exam needs a Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
Ques 3) What is the age limit for SBI Clerk exams?
Ans. The appearing candidate should have ages between 21-28 years. The age relaxation of five years is given to all the candidates belonging to SC and ST classes. The candidate belonging to the OBC category has 3 years of age relaxation. Candidates from Jammu and Kashmir also have 5 years of age relaxation.
Ques 4) Is 60% necessary in graduation to become an SBI Clerk?
Ans. No, 60% in graduation is not necessary to appear for SBI Clerk exams. Percentage in graduation is not considered in the eligibility criteria for SBI Clerk exams.
Ques 5) Is a B.Tech student eligible for SBI Clerk exams?
Ans. Yes, a B.Tech student is eligible for the SBI Clerk exam. A candidate only needs to have a Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.

Ans. No, a candidate who is selected as an SBI Clerk doesn’t need to sign any bond with SBI.
