The number of vacancies out with the release of official notification for the year 2021. The number of vacancies for this year is 25271.
Initially, SSC released a total of 54953 vacancies for the SSC GD Recruitment 2018, and in the year 2019 notice released by the SSC, it has increased the number of vacancies to 60210.

Things to remember for SSC GD Constable 2021 Online Exam
1. SSC GD Exam is conducted in Online Mode all over India.
2. Questions are asked in MCQ format and all the questions are compulsory to attempt.
3. Each question carry one mark each
4. The exam was conducted bilingually i.e. in both English and Hindi Medium.
5. SSC GD Exam does not follow negative marking.
6. Normalization of marks will be done while deciding the minimum qualifying marks for the examinees.
7. Remember to carry at least one original Photo ID such as Voter’s ID, Aadhaar Card, Driving License, ID Cards issued by Government or other Offices where the candidates may be working.
8. Those who will not carry ID Cards will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.
9. Candidates must carry the latest two (2) passport size photographs to affix it in the official copy of Admit Card in the presence of officials/ Invigilators at the time of Computer Based Examination, PST/ PET and DME/ RME if required.
10. Candidates will provide rough paper and pen by the examination center.
11. Candidates are not allowed to leave the examination hall/room before the time scheduled for the test.
