SSC MTS 2022 Exam Selection process

The examination process of SSC MTS conducted by SSC comprises of 3 different phases:

1. Paper 1 and

2. Descriptive Test

3. Skill Test

The first two stages are qualifying stages to take a position in the merit list and appear in the skill test.

SSC MTS 2022 Exam Pattern

The examination of SSC MTS 2022 will be comprised of 3 different levels: Paper-1, Paper-2 (Descriptive Test) & Paper-3 (Skill Test). Paper-1 is conducted online where objective-type questions are asked. Paper 2 is a subjective paper in pen and paper mode. It is a paper to examine the language proficiency in English or any regional language required as per the official notification. Paper III comprises of skill test which is conducted according to the candidate’s convenience.

SSC MTS 2022 Syllabus for Paper I & Paper II

For the aspirants of SSC MTS 2022, it is very important to know the detailed syllabus of Paper-I and Paper-II. The subject-wise syllabus of SSC MTS is given below;

General Intelligence & Reasoning

The syllabus of SSC MTS for General Intelligence & Reasoning comprise of questions designed to test the candidate’s ability to compact with conceptual ideas and symbols and their relationship, arithmetical computation, and other analytical functions.

English Language Syllabus :

The syllabus is designed such that aspirants should be well-versed with the basics of the English language and writing ability. The details of the topics to be covered are given below:

Numerical Aptitude Syllabus:

General Awareness Syllabus:

General awareness questions will be based on Current affairs, General science, and General knowledge. It covers the questions related to India and its neighboring countries with respect to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research, etc.

SSC MTS 2022 Salary

1. SSC MTS salary is designed as Gross Salary & Cash in Hand. After the implementation of 7th pay commission, there is an increase of nearly 20% in every public sector job.

2. Multi-Tasking Staff is a wide-ranging central service group ‘C’ non-gazetted, a non-ministerial post which is listed under Payscale-1 (Rs.5200 – 20200) + Grade Pay Rs.1800. However, the net salary of MTS ranges between Rs.20,000 – 24,000 /month (approx). The salary varies somewhat on location, allowances, etc.

3. Every Promotion under the SSC MTS Grade Pay is given promotion as per the following norms:

• First Promotion: Rs. 1900/- after 3 years of service.

• Second Promotion: Rs. 2000/- after 3 years of service.

• Third Promotion: Rs. 2400/- after 5 years of service.

SSC MTS 2022 Application Fee

Application Fees for general category candidates for SSC MTS 2022 is Rs. 100/-.

Application fees for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Serviceman and female candidates are exempted from application fee payment for SSC MTS 2022 Exam.

Pre - Exam Training

SSC organizes Pre-Exam Training for reserved category candidates and those who are economically backward. It is given free of cost but the DA and TA is not given for attending the classes. There is no fee for the coaching classes held by SSC. Only those can attend the classes who have opted for the same while filling in the application form for SSC MTS Exam.

Interview Details

There is no interview held for SSC MTS candidates as it is a clerical level exam and the government has waived the interview session for the posts under SSC MTS Exam. There is only document verification after one qualifies all the phases of the exam pattern

Previous Cut-Off 2022

The Cut-off for SSC MTS 2022 will be declared once the examination for the same is conducted and the result has been declared. There will be separate category-wise, State/UT-wise cut-offs in Paper-1. The commission may fix the separate cut-off for different age groups viz.18 to 25 years and (ii) 18 to 27 years. The Cut-Off will depend upon the level of difficulty of the SSC MTS 2022 Exam as well as the number of candidates appearing for the exam.

SSC MTS Cutoff 2016-17: Tier-I

SSC releases cut-off of SSC MTS and other exams and the same was declared for the year 2017. SSC MTS 2017 cut-off is given below for your quick reference.

Aspirants who qualified for Paper I are required to take Paper II which was held on 28-1-2018 with1,43,657 candidates.

The candidates who will apply successfully for the SSC MTS Recruitment 2022 will be able to download the SSC MTS Admit Card is 10 days before the date of the exam. However, the admit card released region wise on the official site of the regions.

(ii) 18-27 years as of 01-01-2022 (i.e. candidates born not before 02-08-1992 and not later than 01-08-2001).
Please make a note that there will be separate category-wise, State/ UT-wise cut-offs in Paper-I. because the vacancies for SSC MTS are in categorized in two age groups i.e. (i) 18 to 25 years and (ii) 18 to 27 years, the Commission may fix separate age group-wise, category-wise, and State/ UT-wise cutoffs in Paper-I.

Ans: Yes, Paper-II is of qualifying nature and is conducted to test elementary language skills. Although, the marks scored by the individuals in Paper-II will be considered to decide merit in case more than one aspirant will score equal normalized marks in Paper-I.
